STRAYHAVEN ANIMAL SHELTER
SERVING GREENVILLE / NORTHERN MERCER COUNTY
AMOUNT DONATED: $4,255.40
Strayhaven is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter in Greenville, PA. We care for surrendered and abandoned/stray animals within Mercer County. All animals receive veterinary care, food/water, volunteer interaction, and a safe place to sleep while waiting for their forever homes. We are currently at capacity with 18 dogs and 15 cats in our care. We are solely funded through donations and local grants/foundations. Our goal is to care for the homeless cats and dogs and place them in new, loving homes.

Programs Supported by Your Donations
Our animals will benefit from the donations as any donations received will go towards providing veterinary care and food for the animals. On average, it costs over $500 to provide full veterinary care for animals and we make half of that amount through adoption fees. We also assist community members with veterinary and food needs if they need assistance. This is to help keep animals in their current home rather than being surrendered to a shelter.
Needs that Cannot beMet without Your Help
Our adoptions have been at an all time low and we are caring for more high medical need animals. We have a list of 20-30 cats and dogs waiting to be surrendered to the shelter and it is incredibly difficult to keep up with the veterinary bills as well as the maintenance for our current building with low adoptions and general donations being down.
